Malagasy in a voice-over brief

Malagasy is an Austronesian language spoken in Madagascar, far from the other languages of Africa, and it is written in Latin letters. The official standard is based on the speech of the central highlands, while coastal regions have their own accents and words. French remains a language of administration and business, so scripts often include French terms. In a brief we ask which region the audience lives in, whether the piece is for radio, health information or advertising and how French names should be pronounced.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price
