What Chilean Spanish voice-over is hired for

  • Santiago and central Chile

The broadcast reference and the default for national advertising and corporate work.

  • Regional Chile

Northern, southern and island speech differ; we ask where the audience is before casting.

  • Chilean communities abroad

Brands serving Chileans overseas often keep the local voice and idioms.

Typical projects

  • Brands advertising in Chile
  • Retailers, banks and telecoms with local audio
  • Studios needing a Chilean character voice
  • Companies localising apps for the Chilean market

Accent and direction notes

What our director listens for in a Chilean Spanish session.

  1. Speed and weak consonants

Chilean speech is quick and softens final consonants such as s. A read for foreign listeners slows it down; a local campaign keeps its pace.

  2. Local idioms

Chile has many words of its own, called chilenismos. We check which suit the brand and which only locals understand.

  3. Informal verb forms

Informal Chilean speech has its own verb forms. Formal copy normally uses standard forms, and we confirm the register.

What casting decides in Chilean Spanish

  • Neutral or Chilean

Neutral Spanish loses the local sound. Chilean ads usually want a voice that sounds like the audience.

  • Register

A friendly retail line and a bank notice need different voices, even when both are Chilean.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price

No price list: every quote is written for your project and states usage and the delivery date.

Chilean Spanish voice-over questions

Can a neutral voice work for Chile?

For training and product films it usually does. For advertising, a local voice sounds natural, and idioms can matter.

Do you use Chilean slang in scripts?

Only if you ask. Slang is risky outside its audience, so we flag it for your approval.

Is Chilean Spanish hard to understand abroad?

Fast speech can be harder for listeners elsewhere. For a pan-Latin American audience we recommend a neutral read.
