Singapore English in a voice-over brief
Singapore English has a formal Standard form used in education and government, and an informal variety known as Singlish that blends English with Hokkien, Malay, Cantonese and Tamil. The two serve different settings, and mixing them can sound careless. A brief states which form is wanted, the audience and whether Mandarin, Malay or Tamil versions are also needed.
Accent and direction notes
What our director listens for in a Singapore English session.
Standard or Singlish
Standard Singapore English is used for formal work; Singlish is colloquial and used on purpose.
Mixed languages
Speakers mix English with Mandarin, Malay or Hokkien. Scripts decide how much to keep.
Syllable rhythm
Singapore English has a distinct rhythm and intonation.

How we work
Casting
We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.
Direction
A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.
Delivery
Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.
What decides the price
No price list: every quote is written for your project and states usage and the delivery date.
