Hmong in a voice-over brief

Hmong has two main dialects, White Hmong and Green Hmong, which differ in sound and some words. A Romanised writing system developed in the 1950s is widely used, while communities in Asia may use other scripts. It is a tonal language, with tones that change meaning. Most recorded work serves health, education and community services for Hmong communities in the United States and South-East Asia. We ask which dialect the audience speaks and confirm availability before quoting.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price

No price list: every quote is written for your project and states usage and the delivery date.
