Macedonian in a voice-over brief

Macedonian is a South Slavic language written in its own Cyrillic alphabet, which includes letters not used in Russian or Serbian. It has a fixed stress pattern, which helps a recorded read feel steady. It sits close to Bulgarian and shares much with Serbian, yet audiences in North Macedonia notice borrowed forms quickly. Public notices tend toward the formal and advertising toward the conversational. When we receive a Macedonian script we check spelling and stress with a native reader, agree how English and Albanian brand names should sound, and confirm whether a second language will follow.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price
