Marathi in a voice-over brief

Marathi is an Indo-Aryan language written in Devanagari, like Hindi, but with its own grammar and vocabulary. It is the state language of Maharashtra, and Mumbai and Pune mix it with Hindi and English in everyday speech. Newspapers, radio and theatre keep a strong tradition of expressive spoken Marathi. A brief names the region of the audience, the register and the treatment of English and Hindi words.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price

No price list: every quote is written for your project and states usage and the delivery date.
