Sinhala in a voice-over brief

Sinhala is the main language of Sri Lanka and has a rounded script of its own. The spoken language differs noticeably from the literary form used in writing, so a script has to decide which the voice reads. Many campaigns in Sri Lanka run in Sinhala, Tamil and English together, and the voices should match in tone and timing. Banking, telecoms, tourism and public information are typical. A brief names the register and the other languages, and a native reviewer checks the script.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price

No price list: every quote is written for your project and states usage and the delivery date.
