Telugu in a voice-over brief

Telugu is a Dravidian language with a rounded script of its own, spoken in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A vowel-ending pattern gives it a flowing sound that listeners associate with the language. The two states have regional differences in words and accent. Film is a major cultural force, so audiences are used to expressive delivery. In the brief we ask which state the audience lives in, whether the piece is advertising, training or public information and how English technical terms are treated.

How we work

  1. Casting

We shortlist voices for your language, audience and tone, and explain the difference between them. You choose, and approve a written quote.

  2. Direction

A director runs the session against your brief: meaning, pace and every agreed pronunciation. You can listen in remotely.

  3. Delivery

Every file is checked against the script word by word and technically, then delivered in your format and naming.

What decides the price
